MORTAL MEN
Oh what fools, we mortal men.
We face the lion in the den.
But asked to change a single thought,
We all respond with, I Will Not!
Oh why the pain, oh why the doubt?
Our mortal fear of stepping out.
So in the comfort of our pain,
We strive to stay and think we’re sane,
And then the years go fleeting by,
And all our dreams, the slowly die.
If I could live life once again,
Oh what fools we mortal men.
